Every piece here was chosen for one reason: it's worth standing in front of. Sometimes that's the simplest gown in the room — a bias-cut silk with no ornament at all. Sometimes it's the most ornate. Always timeless. Always elegant. And never lands the same with any two people.

It works the way a museum works. You walk past the room that isn't for you, and nothing about it is out of place. You don't have to want a thing to see that it's beautiful. Except here, nothing's behind glass — you can play.

Trends make it hard to hear yourself. And vintage has trends too — the same decade suddenly having its moment, the same piece everyone wants at once. We're not interested in that. We care what's beautiful, and what's yours.

RERACKED began as On the Racks in 2005 and opened in Kingston in 2018. Twenty-five years of hunting: private archives, estate collections, and the trusted hands of collectors who know what they're holding.

What we find gets restored properly — couture-level work on vintage construction, silk and lace and beading done by hand — and then it goes back out into the world to be worn. A garment that's already lived one life, given a second. That's the quietest thing we do, and the one we care about most.
